About ARISE
ARISE works with schools to support conversations about racism, fairness and respect. Many schools want to address racist incidents and help pupils understand difference, but teachers are often given very little guidance on how to approach these conversations. ARISE was created to provide practical support. Through school assemblies, staff training and parent sessions, ARISE helps school communities respond to racism thoughtfully and build environments based on fairness and respect.

HELLO!
I'm Miss Lawton
Founder of ARISE
I founded ARISE in 2019 after working as a primary school teacher and noticing how little support schools were given when dealing with racist incidents.
Teachers often wanted to respond well but weren’t always sure how to approach difficult conversations with pupils or parents. ARISE was created to help schools navigate those situations with clarity and confidence. Since then, I’ve delivered assemblies and training sessions to schools across the UK, working with pupils, teachers and families to encourage respectful and supportive school communities.
